Sewing Instructions

1.    Using your sewing pins, attach each pattern to the fabric, and cut out your pattern pieces.

2.    Pin bottom pattern pieces together over the straight edges of the circular shape. Use your sewing machine to put a temporary baste stitch over the straight edges where your bottom pieces are pinned. Press the seams open with a hot iron.

3.    Place your 22-inch zipper right side down over the seam. The zipper teeth should really be on the seam line. Use your glue adhere to glue the zipper into place, and then sew it to the fabric using a direct stitch down each side.

4.    Gather the six side pattern pieces, and sew them together. Make sure to sew them inside out so that they will undoubtedly be hidden in the completed project. Place the stitches 1/2-inch from the edge of the fabric.

5.    Leave the final two sides open. Use your hot iron to press the seams flat.

6.    Invert the bag so that it is right side out and place a high stitch to all the seams. Press the ultimate seams along with your iron to ensure an easy, finished look.

8.    Pin the medial side pieces to the most truly effective piece of the bean bag. Attach the sections with a high stitch about 3/8-inch from the seams you merely created. Repeat the procedure for the underside pattern piece.

9.    Repeat steps one through eight to create the inner bean bag liner from muslin fabric.

10. Place the inner liner inside the outer cover. Your bean bag chair is now willing to be full of polystyrene beans. Fill the inner liner to at least 80 percent capacity. Zip the inner and outer openings closed, and try out your new chair. You might add or subtract filler to really make the bean bag firmer or softer if desired.
